Corruption

A dark interrogation room, how generic and fitting… The small light bulb above radiating a dim yellow light that filled the room, two metal fold up chairs were on each side of a table that was in the center of the interrogation room. The obvious mirror on the left side of the room harbored many eyes trying to get a glimpse of the situation at hand.
“Why did you do it Corin.” The man in a suit muttered, staring at the culprit sitting in the chair on the other side of the table. Hands lightly placed on the table quietly fiddling with the metal handcuffs that kept the hyperactive hands bound together. Corin just simply grinned at the question, replying in a sickly sweet voice, laced with sarcasm-like venom.
“I have no idea what you are implying, sir.” Soon a fist was slammed down onto the table and the man snapped. “There is enough evidence to send you away for a long time, now either you talk or we will-” the man in the suit was cut off by Corin, who had a cheshire smirk plastered on, replying before the man in the Suit could reply. “You will do what exactly, Krossen~” Corin smiled, “I will talk? Or you will kill me, force me to speak? I thought the American’s rights existed even here…” Corin hissed at the man in the suit named ‘Krossen’. Krossen on the other hand stood up, glared at Corin and took a step forward and replied dully. “At the point you are in too deep, everything you once knew will start to change. In this game, there are. No. Rules.” The words made the room fall silent, but then the small sound of the metal from Corin’s handcuffs being fiddle with, jerked around, and being slammed down on the table could be heard, followed by laughing. Corin quietly uttered the words. “You really want to know why I did it?” The smile carved into Corin's face, looking up at the man in the suit who was circling the table, waiting for answers. “It is the only reason that I am here….” Krossen hissed back, eyes narrowing.
Corin simply giggled, starting the small rant.
“Maybe it was simply because of the human race…”
You can’t just say the human race, just say the damn answer! Why, did, you do it!”
“Don’t interrupt me again, Krossen. It’s quite rude… Now, where was I- yes. Maybe, because of the human race… How we so dumbly follow what the majority tell us to do, while the minority who knows what is actually going on in this society is labeled with the terms ‘paranoid’ and ‘insane’ and told how their minds are intoxicated. But whilst we worship the labels of big people like them, who created one of the most ‘successful’ and ‘intelligent’ contributions. While barely anyone realized that it was all built off of the backs of child labor in a third world country that could be hidden away from the people that blindly followed the trend… But it wasn’t just that… The very fact we are considered the ‘wise man’ yet we haven't come to an agreement that being able to eat is a human right… But maybe.” Corin smiled.
“It was because it got to my head…”

“And then, I could see everything clearly for once in my life, and the corruption left my eyes..."
